Take 25

The Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant has teamed up with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to promote their campaign Take 25.
I am excited about this partnership and the fact that I have the opportunity to educate children and parents throughout my state about being safe.
Take 25 is national child safety campaign encouraging parents and guardians to take twenty-five minutes to talk to their children about ways to stay safer.
As a mother this campaign is near and dear to my heart. The thought of my child missing or being unsafe is very disheartening. So as a community we must stick together to make sure our children are safe!

I'm Back

It has been an AWESOME last couple of months but I am back! I have been crazy busy but enjoying every opportunity that I have been given! I was fortunate enough to be interviewed tonight by Jona Crooner for his new internet radio show on www.goodfellasradio.net. It will air Thursday night at 10pm. We are discussing the ever popular subject of Beauty vs. Booty. We also touch on some other subjects as well that are centered around beauty. Be sure to tune in to the show and as always check back here for more info!

Time to GIVE

First and foremost I want to send out prayers to all the victims of the earthquake in Haiti! This is such a devastating tragedy! In times like these it is important for everyone to UNITE! No matter your color or creed we can move mountains if we stand together and help in anyway that we can!

There are several ways to help the Earthquake victims. You can donate necessities such as toiletries and clothes to your local Red Cross! You can even text YELE to 501 501 and 5 dollars will go toward earthquake relief. The smallest donation can make all the difference in the world! $5 is such a small price to help! We can spare $5 and sacrifice eating out one day this week!

I hope we are all being very grateful for the things we have and even that which we don't have!

Be blessed!

Always,
MBAUSA
